Dorothy I. Height ES is a Title I, citywide school in Petworth section of DC. We boast 93,000 sq ft of learning space for grades PK3-5. We celebrate our community's diversity and foster an appreciation for all cultures and perspectives in a nurturing environment. We work with our stakeholders to build the foundations that will ensure that scholars become lifelong learners who thrive in and contribute to a global society. DHES provides a high-quality education through inquiry-based math, guided reading, writing, scientific exploration, blended learning, and global studies. Spanish, Art, Music, Library, and PE are provided to all students.
