As D.C.'s leading Arts elementary school, Armstrong provides a joyful, nurturing community that sparks creativity, curiosity, and a love of learning. In our Reggio Emilia-inspired preschool, students build literacy, numeracy, world language, and creative problem-solving skills through hands-on, inquiry-based learning. With our Reggio Arts Studio, outdoor classrooms, and Armstrong Garden, Pre-K3-4 students daily connect what they learn with our wider world. From K-3, our inclusive curriculum includes Friendship's Science of Reading and Math programs.
